Radical Dana in Action: Reciprocity and Reflections
We are deeply and forever grateful to everyone who joined us for our Radical Dana: Buddhist Wisdom for Mobilizing Resources event on September 8. Your presence brought to life the spirit of our In Fluid Bloom Campaign, and we couldn’t be more honored to share this space of reflection, growth, and interconnectedness with each of you!!!!
We were moved by the heartfelt sharing, the powerful grounding practice led by Rahil Rojiani and Jacoby Ballard, and the wisdom and deep care of all our speakers. Together, we celebrated and honored the closing of our drive, recognizing that our adaptability and fluidity are our strengths in this moment.
Throughout the gathering, we explored what it means to fluidly bloom—to embrace change, adapt to the complex challenges of our time, and thrive together as a spiritually grounded community. BPF’s Co-Director of Resource Mobilization, Dani Padilla offered how spiritual resourcing practices call us to fortify the lines that connect us to one another, to see the interconnective tissues that bind all beings, and to act in service of a just future. Our Co-Director of Programs Kate Johnson, offered an inspiring glimpse into the road ahead for BPF. With plans to expand our online practices and rekindle in-person retreats, these initiatives are set to deepen our connections and fortify our ever-growing network of spiritual activists. As we look to the future, these efforts will be the lifeblood that sustains those on the frontlines of this transformative work, providing the community, support, and spiritual grounding needed to steward this work
We were deeply honored to hear from Annie Mahone, a cherished Dharma teacher and resource mobilizer in the Plum Village tradition. With grace and wisdom, Annie guided us through a powerful reflection on how to align our actions with our most cherished values. Annie encouraged su embrace a daily practice of Dana—one that not only fuels and sustains our movements but also nourishes our own growth on the collective path. Her words were a heartfelt reminder that true giving is not simply an act, but a profound practice that cultivates the soil from which meaningful, lasting change can blossom.
